Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and the Climate Reality Project created a global campaign designed to pressure world leaders to commit to meaningful carbon emission reduction. The campaign is a multidisciplinary effort that involves seven WPP shops — GPY&R Sydney, JWT, Maxus, the Futures Company, PPR Australia, the Glover Park Group, Blue State Digital, plus affiliate company VICE.
The idea is based on a simple, universal truth. Everywhere in the world, every child asks: "Why? "Why Not?" They ask these questions to understand the world around them and to develop their own ideas.
The campaign poses "Why?" and "Why Not?" questions that highlight climate change problems and potential solutions in a positive tone, and aims to inspire individuals from around the globe to discuss these issues at home, with their family, friends, and elected representatives.
